We are an inclusive Society, open to all people who love England and Englishness and who support our aims, objectives, history, traditions, ideals and values.
Royal Patronage
Queen Victoria was the Society’s first Royal Patron and we have since enjoyed the Patronage of every reigning monarch.
King Edward VII granted the society the use of the prefix “Royal” in 1902 and in 1963 Queen Elizabeth II bestowed a notable honour by granting the Society its own Royal Charter.
On 3rd May 2024, the Society was extremely honoured to receive confirmation that His Majesty The King had agreed to become the new Patron of the Society.
